ook at it. Just look at it. If this car doesn't make you immediately want to grow a mustache, crack open a cold Coors, and outrun a county sheriff across state lines, you might need to check your pulse.
This isn't just a car. This is a rolling monument to late-70s American defiance. This is a 1979 Pontiac Trans Am 10th Anniversary Edition. And yes, it has the holy grail powertrain.

The Specs (The Good Stuff)
Most people see a 10th Anniversary TA and assume it’s got the Oldsmobile 403 automatic cruiser motor. Wrong. This is one of the legendary, ultra-rare W72 Pontiac 400 cars mated to a Borg-Warner T-10 4-speed manual transmission.
Pontiac actually stockpiled a handful of these true 400ci engines from 1978 just to give the 10th Anniversary the send-off it deserved. It is the absolute last year for the real-deal Pontiac big block and a clutch pedal.
Engine: W72 Pontiac 400 cubic inch V8.
Transmission: Super T-10 4-Speed Manual (factory Hurst shifter).
Rear End: Factory WS6 handling package with 4-wheel disc brakes and Positraction.
Mileage: 64,480 original miles.
Paint/Interior: Two-tone Platinum/Charcoal 10th Anniversary scheme with the iconic “Super Bird” hood decal.
Interior: Factory silver leather “spacesuit” seats. It feels like NASA designed a cockpit for a guy who loves Lynyrd Skynyrd.
