Engine and Performance
The Chevelle is powered by a 1996 Vortec 350 engine, featuring casting #906 Vortec heads. These heads have been bowl-blended, with new valves, springs, and screw-in studs, as well as hardened retainers and guide plates. The engine also features Comp 1.52 roller rockers. To further enhance performance, the car is equipped with a Comp Cams 08-432-8 Extreme Energy camshaft, which has an intake duration of 270, exhaust duration of 276, and a lobe separation of 110.0 degrees. The cam provides a lift of 495/502 with a duration of 218/224 @ 0.50.
Exhaust and Transmission
Underneath the car, you’ll find ceramic-coated, polished full-length headers connected to a Flowmaster “American Thunder” full exhaust system. The 700-4R automatic heavy-duty transmission handles power efficiently, while the rear end is the factory 12-bolt posi with a 3.31:1 ratio. These components work together for an impressive driving experience.
Suspension and Tires
The Chevelle features a newly installed suspension with heavy-duty front and rear sway bars for improved handling. It rides on 15×8 rims with 295/50/15 tires in the rear and 15×7 with 235/60/15 tires in the front. The wheels are fitted with Torq-Thrust rims and wrapped in BF Goodrich tires, giving the car both performance and style.
Comfort and Features
This Chevelle is incredibly easy to drive. The electric fuel pump and electronic ignition ensure quick starts every time. The air conditioning blows cold, keeping the interior comfortable, while the power steering and power 4-wheel disc brakes make for a smooth ride.
