Show quality, nut and bolt restorations are one of the greatest labors of love that a classic car owner can undertake to make sure that their car is as nice as it can possibly be. These restorations take an incredible amount of time and resources to ensure that the car is done well and done correctly. This 1965 Chevrolet Malibu SS has undergone a factory correct, nut and bolt restoration. The sport coupe has less then 1000 miles since the extensive and highly detailed, 3 year long restoration was completed. The exterior was finished in its original Cypress Green and the paint is in excellent condition and considered to be of show quality. All of the exterior chrome and trim has either been replaced or refinished to a high level of quality and it all shines very well. Complimenting the excellent Cypress Green exterior is the factory correct Malibu SS badges and a set of aftermarket (American Racing) chrome, 5 spoke wheels wrapped in BFGoodrich Radial T/A rubber. The interior of this fantastic Malibu has, also, been restored to the same level of quality as the exterior and is finished in the period correct Frost White with Fawn colored carpet. The interior of this car shows excellent with no major defects to note. This Malibu SS is equipped with many great factory options including: factory dash mounted clock, in-dash tachometer, power windows, power steering, power brakes, factory extra range horn, rear seat speaker, AM/FM stereo, front bucket seats with center console, and tilt steering wheel. Powering this beautiful Malibu SS is its numbers correct 300HP Firepower 327 cubic inch V8 that has been rebuilt, balanced and blueprinted. This 327 V8 runs just as it should and delivers that great, classic V8 sound through its factory correct, dual exhaust. The engine compartment is beautifully detailed and all factory correct with the inclusion of its factory original carburetor and alternator that have both been rebuilt and function as they should. The only change from factory is the period correct, larger capacity radiator for additional cooling. Mated to the factory 327 V8 is the Malibu’s numbers matching M20 Muncie 4-speed that has been rebuilt and shifts through the gears just like it should. Transferring the power to the rear tires is the car’s original, numbers matching CW-code, 3.31:1 ratio, 12-bolt rear end with the correct markings displayed on the differential housing. The bottom side of this Malibu is also detailed nicely and shows excellent with correct markings and tags on the suspension. This Malibu runs and drives just as excellent as it shows. This turn-key, show quality classic is ready cruise down your favorite road or be judged at a national level show.
