Exterior
This custom Ford convertible features gorgeous dark plum metallic paint that appears black until sunlight reveals its deep metallic tone. The body is arrow straight with excellent fit, and the doors and hood close solidly. A power German black cloth convertible top with red edges and a glass rear window adds a premium touch. Custom details include a 1954 Pontiac Chieftain-style grille, hood louvers, ribbed bumpers, continental kit, blue dot taillights, dual spotlights, 3-rib fender skirts, and functional lake pipes. It rides on wide whitewall radial tires with pinstriped rims and flipper hubcaps.
Interior
The interior has been fully reupholstered with new carpet featuring red sewn edges and embroidered floor mats. The dash, gauges, heater controls, and radio present beautifully, and the steering wheel is crack-free. The trunk is finished to match with black carpet and red piping and includes the spare, jack, original Ford tool kit, and service manuals.
Engine
The original 231 Flathead V8 was rebuilt and upgraded with **Offenhauser finned aluminum heads, an aluminum intake with dual carbs, and a Mallory distributor. The restored engine bay is clean and detailed, with an auxiliary electric fan to keep it running cool.
