Being a factory “Go Pack Car”, it comes with some nice performance upgrades including upgraded cooling from the 4 core radiator, power front disc brakes, and heavy-duty suspension with thicker sway-bars. Some other upgrades that were special ordered with this particular AMX is the 315 HP / 425 torque 390 CU IN V8 and the 4 speed manual transmission. Form the factory the 390 medium block came with forged steel crankshaft and connecting rods, as well as larger rod bearings. The performance produced was very respectful with a 0 to 60 time of 5.7 seconds, which could be reached in first gear. The factory 54A code turbo silver metallic paint and chrome are in excellent condition. The black vinyl interior is also in excellent condition and features options like factory in dash tach, bucket seats, and factory AM/FM radio. Dash number for this great AMX is 02517. The 1968 AMX was the first steel bodied, 2 seater American performance car since the 1957 Ford Thunderbird.
